Google Open-Sources WeatherNext 2: AI Adds a Day to Tropical Cyclone Forecasting

Google DeepMind and Google Research have open-sourced their WeatherNext 2 AI model, which can predict tropical cyclones with an extra day of lead time.
Published in Nature, the research by Google demonstrates how the model delivers roughly a decade's worth of weather forecasting progress in a single jump.
