Indie developer Tibo shared a postmortem on the failed relaunch of his AI game, MagiCats. Despite attracting players, almost no one was willing to buy it.
Facing poor monetization, he decided to make the game 100% free. He noted that if the game can inspire kids to build more and enhance their creativity, that alone would be a huge success. The game is now free to play on laptops.
