Anthropic CEO Dario Amodei has only one direct report (his chief of staff), with daily operations handled by his sister, President Daniela Amodei, who reports to the board. In comparison, OpenAI CEO Sam Altman has about half a dozen direct reports, and Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang has 60.
Google announced leadership changes at DeepMind: Demis Hassabis will become Chair of Google DeepMind and Alphabet's Chief Scientist, stepping back from daily management to focus on AGI strategy, scientific discovery, global policy, and Isomorphic Labs, while Kavukcuoglu takes over the operational responsibility for shipping Gemini.
