Atlas Motion, a manufacturer of motors and actuators, has emerged from stealth with $11.5 million in funding. The company targets drone, robotics, and autonomous-machine makers.
With design in Southern California and volume production in the Philippines, Atlas currently produces 10,000 motors a month, with a path to 40,000. It reports 14 early customers, mostly drone companies, and six-figure revenue. The new funding will support a second Philippine facility, greater production automation, and planned US manufacturing.
