Dev Builds Desktop Theme Plugin Automatically Using Hermes Agent
Teknium · x · 2026-08-07
A developer successfully built a desktop theme plugin called Theme Lab by simply describing the requirements to Hermes Agent and having it learn the Hermes-desktop SDK.
The plugin extracts dominant colors from any image and automatically maps them to generate WCAG-compliant light and dark themes, along with terminal ANSI palettes. Users can generate a full theme just by dragging and dropping an image, demonstrating the potential of AI Agents in independent development and code iteration.
