Anthropic Introduces Claude Tag: AI Joins Slack as a Team Member
emmanuelvivier · x · 2026-08-07
Anthropic has introduced Claude Tag, a new feature designed to change how teams collaborate with AI. Initially launching on Slack, Claude can be added to specific channels just like a human team member.
Users can grant Claude access to selected channels and connect it to chosen tools, data, and even codebases. Anyone in the channel can then tag @Claude to delegate tasks. Anthropic noted that internally, 65% of their product team's code is now generated by an internal version of Claude Tag. The feature is currently available in beta for Claude Enterprise and Team customers.
