CapCut Launches Seedance 2.5 Globally: Multimodal Controls Tackle AI Video Consistency
FellMentKE · x · 2026-08-07
CapCut has officially rolled out Seedance 2.5 globally, a new AI video model designed to solve the consistency issues that plague long-form AI video generation. It shifts the experience from generating disconnected clips to building cohesive stories.
Key Workflow Features:
- Multimodal References: Supports up to 50 multimodal references before the first render to guide subject, camera, motion, rhythm, and audio.
- Fine-tuned Controls: Uses 3D white-model references for camera blocking and green-screen editing for background swaps, minimizing full rerolls.
- Long-form Builds: Allows creating a core video up to 30 seconds, fixing specific beats via timestamp instructions, and extending scenes with AI Extend.
- All-in-One Editing: Footage can be directly edited on a multi-track timeline within CapCut PC, handling pacing, captions, and transitions without rebuilding projects across separate apps.
