Robot Autonomously Makes Blizzard Ice Cream, Solving Fragile Cup Grip with Five-Finger Hand

Sharpa Robotics demonstrated its robot North autonomously preparing a Dairy Queen Blizzard.
Blizzard blending is challenging as thick, uneven ice cream constantly shifts torque on a thin paper cup. Traditional parallel-jaw grippers only pinch from two sides, failing to balance the force without slipping or crushing the cup.
Sharpa's Wave dexterous hand solves this by wrapping its five fingers around the cup, distributing the load and adjusting grip in real-time to handle shifting torque autonomously.
