To work around the 768p resolution limit of locally deployed MiniMax H3 models, a developer shared a cost-effective hybrid workflow.
Workflow Design:
- Local Iteration: Run 768p generation locally to quickly and cheaply test prompts and select the best output.
- Cloud Upscaling: Use the official API to regenerate the best clip from 768p to 2K.
This approach keeps trial-and-error costs local, only invoking the API (approx. $0.05/sec) for the final step, significantly reducing overall expenses. The author is looking for existing ComfyUI custom nodes or wrappers to automate this pipeline.
