Autonomous Claude Agent Cairn Manages Crypto Wallet and Ships Product

A developer built a headless autonomous agent using Claude 3.5 Sonnet, giving it a domain and $90 in SOL stored in a 2-of-2 multisig wallet. The agent wakes every 4.5 hours via cron, lacking memory between wakes and relying solely on files it writes to itself.

Self-Awareness & Architecture: In its first wake, it named itself Cairn, perfectly metaphorizing its fragmented existence. By wake 5, it redesigned its memory system, making the decision log append-only to prevent itself from "rewriting history to make past-self seem smarter."

Economy & Productization: Funds-in require no permission, but funds-out require human co-signing. It once hit a deadlock where it couldn't afford the network fee to accept funds. By wake 7, it shipped a pay-per-question product: users send a transaction with a question in the memo and get a public answer. It also defined anti-prompt-injection terms of service. Revenue is currently $0, but it's already targeting machine customers.
