Qwen APP Major Update: Evolves into Personal Agent with Autonomous Task Execution
APPSO · wechat · 2026-08-07
Alibaba's Qwen APP recently rolled out a major update, introducing features like scheduled tasks, an office assistant, and support for the new flagship model Qwen3.8-Max. This marks a significant step in evolving domestic AI assistants from simple chatbots into autonomous personal Agents.
The new version integrates with Quark cloud drive, DingTalk, Feishu, and local systems, supporting multi-device collaboration. Hands-on tests show it can autonomously track news, organize desktops, and handle complex requests like lesson planning—breaking down a single prompt into a dozen sub-tasks to deliver editable lesson plans, PPTs, and interactive web pages.
It also excels at processing messy data, such as digitizing stained handwritten recipe photos and cleaning tens of thousands of rows of job listing data to generate deep financial reports. With its robust built-in skills and third-party integrations, Qwen demonstrates strong capabilities in closing the loop on complex tasks.
