A highly popular preprint from Arc Institute has been officially published in Science. Led by Brian Hie and team, the research establishes a robust framework for generating and evaluating AI-created genomes.

Leveraging the Evo 1 and Evo 2 models, the team achieved the first generative design of viable bacteriophage genomes. The AI-generated whole genome sequences successfully produced 16 viable phages with distinct genomic architectures.
