This architecture evolved into Flue, an open framework. Through iteration, Astro's open issues dropped from over 200 to about 30, with expectations to hit zero soon. The post emphasizes that the most valuable aspect of AI in software engineering isn't just code generation, but automated verification, offering a viable solution to open-source maintainer burnout caused by overwhelming volumes of issues and PRs.
