A Reddit user discovered a counter-intuitive use case: by forcing the video model Minimax H3 to output at an extremely low resolution of 32x32, it can be utilized as a highly efficient foley and audio generator.
When paired with an RTX 5090, this method can achieve near-real-time audio generation. Experiments revealed that audio quality is independent of image quality. The stable generation cutoff is around 45 seconds; beyond 60 seconds, the model's dialogue coherence degrades into gibberish.
