The Era of Model-Harness Co-Design in Applied AI

ypatil125 · x · 2026-08-07

Applied Compute introduces the concept of model-harness co-design, allowing applied AI teams to train and customize models directly within their existing production harnesses.

Typically, porting a production harness (which includes context management, tools, and sandboxing) into a new training runtime is expensive and prone to train-test mismatch. Their new platform, AC2, allows developers to simply swap the LLM response endpoint and expose a lightweight protocol for grading rollouts, enabling seamless post-training.
