Goertzel suggests that while this narrowing of focus—replacing the previous "let a thousand flowers bloom" strategy—is typical for large tech giants, its impact on AGI development remains uncertain. While it might stifle some grassroots innovation, concentrating resources could also accelerate major breakthroughs.
