Cloudflare Launches WebMCP, Enabling Any Website to Natively Support AI Agents

Cloudflare has launched a developer preview of WebMCP. By flipping a single switch, any website can natively support browser AI agents without changing origin code or building new APIs.
The web was traditionally built for humans, but the WebMCP standard allows sites to expose dedicated toolsets directly to in-browser agents. This means agents no longer have to guess their way through human UIs; they can directly call interfaces to execute tasks while ensuring creators still get real traffic and attribution.
The standard is currently shipping experimentally in Chrome 146, and Cloudflare's remote browser service, BrowserRun, already supports it.
