In response to a comment about the collapse of Google's Gemini as a frontier model series, akpiper said they find Gemma4 to be the best open source model for their purposes. The original comment noted that unlike Meta and SpaceX, Google has captive Gemini customers at an enterprise level, so the fact that they are pushed towards Gemini 3.1 Pro is a problem.
