Cisco recently patched several critical vulnerabilities in its enterprise networking hardware. A severe flaw in Cisco IMC (CVE-2026-20200) allows attackers to gain root privileges via the web interface, with a public proof-of-concept (PoC) exploit already available.

Additionally, Cisco released hardening updates for IOS XE and Catalyst SD-WAN, addressing multiple critical vulnerabilities rated between 9.8 and 9.9. Cisco noted that these flaws were partially discovered using frontier AI models to assist their internal testing processes. The company stated it has no evidence of malicious exploitation for these issues at this time.
