digitarald · x · 2026-08-07
A new open standard called Agent Plugins has been released by Amazon, Cursor, Microsoft, OpenAI, and Vercel. It provides a shared package format for Agent Skills and MCP servers, enabling developers to build once and reuse portable components across compatible agent clients. Currently supported in Codex, Cursor, GitHub Copilot, Kiro, and VSCode. The standard is independently governed and not an AAIF project.
