Lloyds Bank Urged to Reveal Hidden Human Costs of Its £2B AI Savings
nordicinst · x · 2026-08-07
Lloyds Bank plans to cut £2 billion in costs via an AI strategy, but behavioural scientist Dr. Gleb Tsipursky argues that financial targets hide the human time spent fixing AI failures.
He urges the bank to publish a scorecard for consequential AI workflows, tracking total time saved, error and rework rates, customer complaints, and changes to entry-level roles. Furthermore, a named executive should have the authority to pause systems based on negative evidence, and staff must be able to report weak outputs without being branded anti-innovation.
