Claude Code Beats Codex in Long Tasks and Automations, Dev Reports

Based on hands-on experience, the author notes that Anthropic is currently outperforming OpenAI in coding assistance. Claude Code is more proactive with long tasks and intelligently manages wait processes, whereas Codex tends to burn through user credits by constantly monitoring long processes. Additionally, Codex Desktop's automations are criticized as overly complicated and clunky.
