PolyLayout: Multi-Room 3D Layout Estimation with Joint Optimization Improves Accuracy
anselm · x · 2026-08-07
PolyLayout is a new multi-room 3D layout estimation method from Lund University, ETH Zurich, and Microsoft Spatial AI Lab. It parameterizes room layouts as Manhattan 3D polygons and optimizes them jointly across rooms, sharing structural cues like orientation and floor/ceiling height. The optimization objective is predicted by a neural network while camera projection and polygon updates remain explicit, improving generalization. Experiments show it outperforms prior methods in accuracy and robustness, and introduces two new multi-view multi-room benchmarks.
