Chaining AI Models in fal Workflows to Generate a 15-Second Animated Short
gorkem · x · 2026-08-07
A developer shared a complete workflow for producing a 7-shot, 15-second animated short using fal Workflows.
- Model Combination: Used Nano Banana Pro to generate cast sheets and one keyframe per shot, Kling v3 for image-to-video (with audio enabled), and a ByteDance model for final upscaling.
- Automation: In the fal Workflows graph, each output automatically feeds the next node's input, allowing the entire film to render itself without manual intervention.
- Key Trick: Spend retries on still images. A bad keyframe costs only one image, whereas a bad clip wastes a full video render.
