Frontier LLMs in Drug Discovery: No Single Winner as Grok Tops Longevity
DeryaTR_ · x · 2026-08-07
InSilicoMeds updated its Drug Discovery & Development Benchmark portal with two new frontier models: GPT-5.6-Sol and Claude Opus-5.
The results show no single winner across all categories:
- Claude Opus-5 (Anthropic) leads in clinical trial prediction
- GPT-5.6-Sol (OpenAI) dominates large therapeutic molecules
- Grok 4.5 (xAI) takes the top spot in longevity
However, in many specific categories, frontier generalist models have not yet surpassed specialized models.
