Developer Insight: Pairing a Goal Agent with Claude 3.5 Sonnet Yields Better Results
gandamu_ml · x · 2026-08-06
A developer controlling coding agent CLIs remotely observed a positive side effect: using a goal agent to interact with Claude 3.5 Sonnet (Opus 5) significantly improves outcomes.
The author notes that because Claude 3.5 Sonnet is somewhat incomplete on its own, treating the combination of the goal agent and the model as the true 'system model' is a better mental model. Consequently, they decided to exclusively use the /goal command when deploying this setup.
