The author tested ByteDance's AI video generation model, Seedance 2.5. Compared to previous models that required multiple generations to refine a shot, Seedance 2.5 delivers improved visual quality and significantly better generation success rates. Most scenes come together within just 1–2 attempts, noticeably reducing both time and compute costs.
Additionally, the Seedance 2.5 API is launching soon on BytePlus, and it is currently available for direct testing on the Lumina AI platform.
