PrimeIntellect Introduces RLM: Reshaping Agent Context with Persistent IPython Kernels
chris_j_paxton · x · 2026-08-06
PrimeIntellect has proposed a novel architecture concept called RLM (Recurrent Language Model). This approach treats context as a variable and uses a persistent IPython kernel as the model's only tool.
By doing so, the agent can program over history, call tools, launch sub-agents, and maintain useful state outside the active context. This turns long session handling into a programming problem, effectively bypassing the traditional LLM context window limitations.
