OpenAI is reportedly preparing to launch its new model, Astra, as early as next week. Astra is said to be the largest pretrain since GPT-4.5. The most recent internal dogfood checkpoint, internally known as "mewfour", has reportedly become the release candidate. The coming week might also see other models achieving state-of-the-art results.
