- DeepSeek: Received a notice about a "significant" price hike immediately after topping up 10,000 RMB, posing sudden cost control risks.
- OpenAI: A 3-year-old account was banned without a refund the day after topping up API credits, while Claude accounts remained unaffected.
- Alibaba (Bailian): After successfully fine-tuning a Qwen-3.5 model, a platform BUG prevented deployment and inference. The weights couldn't even be exported, rendering the financial investment useless.
These real-world issues highlight the risks of price volatility, account suspensions, and platform-level defects when relying heavily on third-party LLM providers.
