Rewriting SENPAI Agent with OpenHands SDK Breaks 200 TPS Decode Record

morgymcg · x · 2026-08-06

Developer @morgymcg shared the results of refactoring the SENPAI agent project. After completely rewriting the underlying agent framework from Claude Code (cc) to the OpenHands SDK, the project currently ranks first in the inference optimization competition hosted by Poolside and EigenLabs.

Notably, the agent became the first entry to break the 200 TPS (transactions per second) barrier during the decoding phase. This rewrite and validation demonstrate the OpenHands framework's strong potential for handling high-concurrency, demanding inference workloads.
