DeepSeek has officially announced that its API pricing will increase "significantly," marking a major shift from its previously highly cost-effective strategy. Currently, its API costs around $0.14 per million input tokens and $0.28 per million output tokens.
As the cheapest near-frontier open-weight model on the market, DeepSeek recently shipped V4-Flash-0731, which ranks second among open-weight models, trailing only Moonshot AI's Kimi K3.
