Microsoft's PlugMem Slashes Agent Context by 100x via Knowledge Graphs

Insights from Microsoft and other labs suggest agents should extract reusable facts and skills rather than storing raw history. Their PlugMem module stops retaining logs and compiles experience into a knowledge graph, feeding the agent only essential information.

This plug-and-play module requires no retraining and reduces token consumption by 1-2 orders of magnitude (up to 100x). In tests involving chat QA and multi-hop search, it outperformed task-specific memory systems while using significantly less context.
