ByteDance's Doubao App has fully rolled out its video call feature, powered by the native audio-visual full-duplex large model SeedRealtime.
Hands-on testing shows it exceeding expectations:
- Strong Visual Understanding: Accurately recognizes people and charts flashing briefly in a YouTube video and provides complete interpretations.
- Natural Interaction: Extremely low latency and natural voice without the common accent issues of GPT Live, feeling like a real human conversation.
Users can experience it by updating to the latest Doubao App, clicking the "call" icon, and turning on the camera without needing an invite. It shows huge potential for K12 education, guided tours, robotics, and real-time translation.
