Open-Source Code Graph Tool GitNexus Gets into YC, Plots Enterprise AI Strategy
DeathShot7777 · reddit · 2026-08-06
The open-source project GitNexus (an AST-based code graph tool) announced it has surpassed 40k GitHub stars and been accepted into YC. The creator shared future roadmap ideas and sought community feedback:
- Nexus CLI: Plans to build an agent harness natively integrating GitNexus (similar to how opencode uses LSP). Aimed at enterprises, it will support a fully self-hosted stack (open-source LLM + harness + agent) for data security.
- Cloud Agents: Customers are already building on top of it, such as Discord bots for repo Q&A or SDLC/QA automation.
- Token Saving & Enterprise Tier: Discovered that better code visualization significantly reduces model token usage. The plan is to sell self-hosted AI stacks to enterprises, featuring centralized knowledge graphs and CI/CD automated impact analysis.
