Autodesk Launches Flow Studio: 3D Spatial Control for AI Video Generation
bennash · x · 2026-08-06
Autodesk has announced the Flow Studio 3D Editor and Canvas to address the control limitations of current AI video generation tools. While most AI tools are confined to 2D generation, filmmakers typically conceive and direct scenes in 3D space.
The new toolset allows users to build and direct scenes in a 3D environment, and then use Canvas alongside leading AI models to render and refine the final visual look. Users can stay in 2D when speed is the priority or move into 3D for precision, ensuring that the creator remains in control.
