AI Agents Rediscover Drug Repurposing from First Principles

Atlas Discovery presented their latest work on biomedical AI agents. The agents can rediscover new uses for existing drugs (drug repurposing) from first principles. For example, the agent successfully deduced the efficacy of a diabetes drug (dapagliflozin), which was proven in 2019 to keep heart failure patients alive.
