Developers More Likely to Blindly Accept AI Code Review Suggestions

A developer observed a counter-intuitive phenomenon: teams tend to push back less on AI code review findings than on human feedback, even when the AI isn't entirely accurate.
The author notes that when a human flags a potential bug, developers instinctively scrutinize and debate it. However, when an AI raises an almost identical concern, developers tend to just fix it. An experiment confirmed this: an AI false positive was successfully challenged when presented as coming from a human, but was directly accepted and fixed when attributed to the AI.
The author concludes this is a psychological issue rather than a tooling problem. People tend to mistake the procedural, neutral tone of AI output for "objective truth," skipping the instinctual skepticism and verification step.
