He suggests that reaching AGI and ASI is beginning to look increasingly overdetermined. In this context, staying in operational management to preside over an inevitable outcome is no longer as high-leverage as taking a leadership role on the next frontier. The smarter the models get, the earlier these top minds will pivot to tackle new challenges.
