Demis Hassabis Steps Back from DeepMind Daily Leadership to Focus on AGI

Demis Hassabis announced he is stepping back from day-to-day leadership of Google DeepMind to focus on AGI and human health.
In his new roles as Chair of Google DeepMind and Chief Scientist of Alphabet, he will shift his focus entirely to AGI breakthroughs, scientific innovation, and curing diseases through Isomorphic Labs. Hassabis stated, "I feel AGI is close at hand."
