Elicit Launches Research Agent for High-Stakes Decision Reasoning
elicitorg · x · 2026-08-06
Elicit notes that while AI excels at tasks with clear feedback loops like math and coding, it struggles with high-stakes decisions that take years to validate.
To bridge this gap, the company launched the Elicit Research Agent. The agent is explicitly trained to weigh tradeoffs and catch reasoning failures, aiming to scale good reasoning for complex decisions. Elicit also released BioDecisionBench, a benchmark collecting data on such high-stakes cases. The Research Agent is available via web and API.
