Google DeepMind is undergoing a major leadership change: Demis Hassabis is stepping down as CEO to become Alphabet's Chief Scientist. Koray Kavukcuoglu will take over the leadership of Google DeepMind.
In addition, Gemini co-leads Jeff Dean and Oriol Vinyals are departing the company. They are set to launch a new startup alongside two other Google veterans.
