Jeff Dean Co-Founds Discovery Loop to Automate Scientific Research

Google legend Jeff Dean announced the founding of Discovery Loop, a Public Benefit Corporation, alongside longtime collaborators Sanjay Ghemawat, Oriol Vinyals, and Quoc Le.
The company's mission is to automate the experimental loop in machine learning, science, and engineering to accelerate discoveries. Dean noted that the approach will initially focus on ML research and engineering but believes it can eventually help solve subproblems across the NAE's fourteen Grand Challenges. The initiative requires deep expertise in both machine learning and large-scale systems.
