MacPaw Partners with Liquid AI to Build On-Device AI Assistant for Mac
JosephJacks_ · x · 2026-08-05
Ukraine-based app developer MacPaw announced a strategic partnership with Liquid AI to co-develop an on-device AI technology stack for Mac. The collaboration will combine Liquid Foundation Models (LFMs) with MacPaw's own inference and memory technologies to create Eney, an AI assistant that runs locally, prioritizes privacy, and works offline.
Transitioning into an AI-first company, MacPaw also plans to introduce AI apps and credit-based plans to its SetApp store. This move aims to empower developers to build applications with agentic workflows directly on Mac using efficient local models.
