LLMs Write Better Than 99% of Humans: Democratizing 'Good Enough' Text

Countering the criticism that LLMs are awful at writing, the author argues that LLMs are currently better at writing than the 99th percentile of humans.
While acknowledging that LLMs do not come close to the skills of truly amazing writers, they have successfully made barely-good-enough writing accessible to the masses, which is an amazing achievement in itself.
