Anthropic Builds In-House Chip Team to Optimize Claude

Anthropic is building an in-house chip team dedicated to its AI model, Claude, according to Business Insider. The company aims to "co-design hardware and models" so Claude can run faster and more efficiently at customer scale.
Despite this move toward custom silicon, Anthropic is still pursuing a "multi-chip approach." AWS, Google, Nvidia, and AMD will remain central to its infrastructure strategy.
