Microsoft Launches MAI Image/Voice Models, Displacing OpenAI in Bing and PowerPoint

Microsoft has released MAI-Image-2.5-Pro and MAI-Voice-2-Flash into public preview.
These new proprietary models have been integrated into Bing, PowerPoint, and Dynamics 365, replacing the previously used OpenAI models. The transition reportedly delivers significant efficiency gains, cutting GPU costs by 84% and 89% respectively.
