Hinton's Retort: After LeCun previously labeled his statements as "arrogant," Hinton fired back, pointing out that even LLMs disagree with LeCun. He argued that LeCun's tactic of pointing to hundreds of papers and videos to justify his "pure LLM" perspective shows a lack of good faith.
LeCun's Defense: LeCun maintained that his original remark was an appropriate response to Hinton's "ignorant insult." He subsequently shared a massive list of technical talks and papers, asserting he has already thoroughly explained the limitations of LLMs.
