The graph analytics benchmark 854.graph500, developed by NJIT's Professor David Bader, has been selected for inclusion in the SPEC CPU 2026 benchmark suite, marking the first major update to the industry's gold standard in nearly a decade.
SPEC CPU 2026 expands from 43 to 52 benchmarks and doubles its source code. It broadens coverage into modern domains, officially making graph-structured computation—from Graph Neural Networks (GNNs) to the knowledge graphs behind LLMs—a first-class citizen in processor evaluation.
