AI Red Team Test: Scanned 300+ Repos, Found Dozens of Flaws in an Hour
RSync25 · x · 2026-08-05
A red team member shared recent progress and practical observations using AI Agents for security testing:
- Scale & Efficiency: The team accelerated repository scanning (covering 300+), spent almost $40k, and identified potential break points incredibly fast, generating dozens of vulnerability reports within a single hour.
- Human-Agent Synergy: The author noted that operators with different domain knowledge get entirely different outcomes. For instance, after the author found middling concerns, another member used just 1-2 sentences or a code block to prompt the Agent to upgrade them to high or critical vulnerabilities.
- Agent's Intuition: The author remarked that the agent can almost "smell out" deep, hidden issues in the code.
